Why is cold therapy worth using?
Ice baths and cold water therapy have become an integral part of professional training and rehabilitation programs. Exposure to cold accelerates muscle recovery by reducing inflammation and swelling after intense exercise. Additionally, immersion in cold water improves blood circulation, strengthens the body's immune system, and helps reduce stress and muscle tension.
Regular use of cold therapy can also improve sleep quality, boost energy levels, and support overall physical and mental health. It's no wonder, then, that more and more athletes, physiotherapists, and health-conscious individuals are incorporating cold baths into their daily routines.

How to Reap the Benefits of an Ice Bath?
After an intense workout or just general wear and tear, limbs and joints need to be treated, and professional athletes always use an ice bath.
Here's how to get the most benefits from an ice bath—and you can too!
- Take an ice bath immediately after your workout (as soon as possible) or prepare one before you start exercising.
- Stay warm while preparing the ice bath. While you wait, dress extra warmly (consider a warm hat and even gloves!). We don't want you to cool down before you can enjoy the ice bath.
- Slide into the ice bath (and try to squeal like a baby!). Consider wearing a top to keep your upper body warm.
- Sit in the ice bath for about 5-10 minutes (some experts recommend 12 minutes as the magic number, but don't force yourself to sit that long; you can gradually increase the time if it's too cold at first).
- Sit up straight and stretch your legs out in front of you to reduce swelling in your joints.
- When you're ready, step out of the ice bath, remove your top (if you chose to wear one), and take a VERY SHORT shower with lukewarm water - 30 seconds to 1 minute. minutes.
- Eat something (healthy sandwiches are ideal) and start stretching after your workout. Some people prefer to stretch before an ice bath; it's entirely up to you, and you should try both methods to find what gives you the best results.
